The Burenda Roma Sale on the 27th August was a resounding success with a total clearance of 101 bulls. 98 through the ring and 3 sold immediately after the sale. The average price of $4617 was very acceptable in a tough year.
Top price of $11,000 for Lot 20 QBUH343 (AI) (ET) was paid by RD & NJ Statham who took home 9 bulls. Other buyers taking advantage of the volume discount included Greg Ashton of Clermont 9 bulls, the Paterson Family of Warrong Mitchell 8 bulls, Tim & Megan Allan of “ Argyle” Munduberra 6 and Bob & Kathy Crozier of “Highlands” at Tambo with 6.
A full report of the sale will be posted in the near future with some interesting stories from repeat buyers. The original draft for the sale numbered 130 but a decision was taken to limit the numbers offered to 100.
After some withdrawals there are still some 15 bulls left at Dalby Downs and we have decided to offer these for sale with the same conditions as those sold through the sale ring. This offer will remain current until the 7
September. The volume discount, extended terms and agent’s commission rates for these bulls will be the same as offered at the Roma Sale.
These remaining bulls are very similar to the bulls sold at Roma and at prices starting at $2750 offer great value for money.
Free agistment at Dalby Downs is available for these bulls until 30
th November 2014
