Burenda Angus was placed first in its class with a pen of 11 milk tooth heifers weighing in at 473kg. A thank you to both Elders and Coopers for the 20ltrs of Easydose Pour On as the prize. The heifers were pregnancy tested empty from our spring joining of over 300 heifers and certainly presented well off leuceana and grass pastures.

The Hobson Family from "Pinedale" Chinchilla won the Best pen of Angus Cattle with a pen of 15 weaner steers weighing in at 310kg and selling for a healthy $3.12/kg near the top of the market. The steers were sired by Burenda Black bulls that were purchased over the last 10 years from out of the paddock and also our Clermont Angus & Brangus Bull Sale. They were a stand out line of steers, so much so that Burenda has purchased them to grow out to feeder weights then enter them into the grainfed classes at the Clermont Beef Expo competition later this year. The sires were selected for calving ease, growth, carcase qualities and docility traits.
